Dr. PJ Stapelberg (Stapes) was born in Pretoria. He grew up in Potchefstroom, where his father was a dentist in private practice. He attended Potchefstroom Volkskool and qualified as a dentist at the University of Pretoria. He obtained a Honours and Masters degree in Orthodontics and has established a private practice in Nelspruit, the capital of Mpumalanga in South Africa, since 1985. He has a keen interest in adult, lingual and surgical orthodontics including the management of the developing dentition. He is an active member of both national and international orthodontic associations and organizations, including the South African Dental Association (SADA), South African Society of Orthodontics (SASO) of which he was president, the World Federation of Orthodontists (WFO) and the American Association of Orthodontics (AAO). He has a keen interest in nature and has done extensive off road traveling in Africa. Hunting, fishing, diving, photography and wine are some of his other passions. As a dedicated family man he enjoys spending time with his wife, daughter and son. |
Dr. Roelien Stapelberg was born in Pretoria, but grew up in Nelspruit. She attended Hoërskool Nelspruit, and studied dentistry at the University of Pretoria. After obtaining her dental degree, she further qualified herself with postgraduate Diplomas in Orthodontics and Maxillofacial & Oral Surgery(cum laude) from the Universities of Pretoria and the Western Cape. She completed her Masters degree in Orthodontics at the European University College, Dubai. Furthermore she obtained a Certificate of Specialty in Orthodontics from the prestigious Malmö University, Sweden. A Diploma of Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in Orthodontics underwrites the previous qualifications. She has continued her professional development in certifying herself as an Invisalign® and 3M™Incognito™ provider. She is currently practicing in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and has joined her father in private practice in Nelspruit, South Africa. |
